As schools struggle with the Advent of AI, we’re hit once again with the same infinite sphere of discussion that we’ve entered dozens of times over the past 50 years.
Chiefly among the struggles that have come to a head amongst the new technology is Student Engagement. We give children infinity and then tell them not to use it, which means very little advancement has been made on actual education levels, and educations systems end up failing to foster any kind of student interest in subjects.
On the other side of this, not teaching us to use the infnite library as it is meant to be means that students come into the professional world being less and less able to navigate technological advances that everyone but the schools have restructured their lives around.
Then, in comes AI and pushes education even further behind, and setting up students even more for professional failure, or at the least, struggles professionally.
