Why Does This Exist?

Welcome Intrusions is my attempt at a modern literature work.

According to a poster I read, I suffer from a “fixed-mindset”, or whatever.

Does it suck? Yes. I have no idea how to keep the content from going insane by being cooked inside my own head, and whenever I try to solve this problem, I am assaulted by a barrage of AI tools that doesn’t allow me to breathe, let alone write a coherent story. All this work is, unfortunately, self-expression, and probably not good one at that. Maybe you’ll see it for more than what it is, or maybe not.

The Story:

“youth. What a bother to everyone, and it just hurts the people involved in the end.”

In Welcome Intrusions, protagonist Eira Murphy struggles with self-expression and trust in a metropolitan world, and she’s resolved to be an incorrigible cynic. She lives a withdrawed life in the city, and commits to little other than work in her life.

Supporting Character Ivan Cory (he might be the son of Richard Cory) struggles with the concept of impermanence in relationships, which is why, like Eira, he lived a withdrawed life, though it’s multifacted and heavily separated, per his preference.

While Ivan chooses to present a joyful and inviting exterior, Eira is just as cold and unkind to the outside world as she is to herself.

In Eira’s hateful rumination on the world, she finds Ivan to repeatedly be an easy subject to ridicule. When they meet, both are forced to reevaluate their beliefs on life, and become new people.

what I notice is that Ivan isn’t there. Where is he? Why do I notice? Why do I care? He’s never gone. Never. He takes Tuesdays and Saturdays off, every week, like a fucking maniac.
